We want you to be happy with every single item you order from our site. If you aren’t happy, we want to make it right. We pick great products from manufacturers who stand behind their brand, so dealing with returns is something we are happy to help with. It’s why we offer free shipping for most returns and why we extend our return period significantly longer than most stores. The only thing we don’t like is when people try to take advantage of us. Be honest and fair with us and we will always be honest and fair with you.

What is your return & exchange policy?

We gladly accept returns for all* unused items for a full cash refund within 60 days of ordering. Beyond 60 days, we continue to accept returns up to 365 days from purchase for a store credit. We will pay for return shipping for all* items under 25 lbs. We will pay for return shipping for all* items over 25 lbs. In exchange for the refund being store credit. Alternately, if you pay for return shipping on these items, we will issue a cash back refund. *all - refers to all qualifying items. Close-out and deeply discounted items are all final sale and not eligible for return. Certain oversized items like mattresses and furniture are not eligible for free returns. Consult the product page to know if your item does qualify for free returns.

Any original shipping charges will not be refunded.

If your return places your original order value under $49, we will deduct the $6.95 flat rate shipping from the amount refunded to you. The reason we do this is because some sneaky people (we know it's not you) will intentionally order an extra item they don’t need in order to get free shipping and then they will return the unused item hoping we don’t catch on. This hurts us and ultimately hurts you in terms of what we need to charge to cover our costs, which is why we include this in our policy

How do I make an exchange or return?

It all starts by contacting us at support@thanksmama.com or by phone at 617-965-6262. We will issue you a return authorization number (RMA) and forward you a return shipping label. Once you get the return label, simply package up your item, apply the return label and drop it to the nearest carrier drop off. We will contact you once we receive your return and verify everything meets our return criteria. If so, you should see a credit your account within 5 business days and store credit within 1 business day.

Damaged items may be returned direct to the manufacturer. We will provide that information as needed.

How do I know if my item is eligible for return/exchange?

First, it must meet our return criteria:

  • Item should include original receipt, tags and packaging materials
  • Item must be undamaged, unwashed, unused and in new condition
Second, it must be an item eligible for return. Certain large, final sale or perishable items are not eligible. This information is shown directly on the product page.

My item is defective, how do I handle a return or exchange for it?

If your item is damaged or defective, please contact us immediately at 617-965-6262 and we will help sort out the best course of action. Sometimes manufacturers will handle things directly. Other times it will go directly through us.

How long before I receive my refund on a returned item?

Once an item is received in our warehouse, you should see a refund to your account within 5 business days. Items receiving store credit will issued within 1 business day.

Why wasn’t I refunded exactly what I paid for my returned item?

There are two possible reasons for this.

  • If the value of your order drops below our $49 free shipping threshold, we will add back in the $6.95 flat rate fee your order would have been charged.
  • If the item returned is not in new or salable condition as outlined in our policy, we may charge a restocking fee of up to 25% of the item
