Thirsties Pocket All-in-One Diapers
Question: What do you get when you combine the convenience of an All-In-One cloth diaper, the flexibility to add absorbency with a pocket opening, line it with the wetness protection of stay-dry microfleece, and include the superior leakproof protection of Thirsties signature leg gussets?
Answer: Thirsties Pocket All-In-One!
Introducing a Pocket All-In-One (AIO) cloth diaper from Thirsties that marries the colorful and breathable waterproof outer layer and the absorbent core soaker so your baby's cloth diaper goes on in one simple step and at a great price too! Thirsties Pocket All-In-Ones simply wrap around baby and fasten with sturdy velcro for a perfect fit at every diaper change. The built-in absorbent core is made from Thirsties specialty microfiber terry which absorbs up to seven times its weight in liquid! This makes for a very absorbent diaper, without the added bulk.
Thirsties Pocket All-In-One is great diaper to use during night time or when you are out and about with your little one. Add extra inserts for heavy wetters or when you can't change the diaper often.
New & Improved! Thirsties Pocket All-In-One has recently changed slightly. In the new V2 version, you will find that the fleece has been removed from the leg gussets to help prevent wicking in a saturated diaper. In addition, the soaker has been widened just a bit to add extra built-in absorbency.
Perhaps the most beloved feature of Thirsties Pocket All-In-Ones are the leg gussets. The leg gusset attribute allows for the same excellent leak-proof protection no matter the shape of your baby. Whether you have a chunky baby, or a tall and lean baby, the leg gussets provide the protection you need by gently and completely sealing the leg openings. The pliable leg gussets flex and move with your baby, offering a comfortable and superior safeguard against leaks whether you have a developing and kicking newborn or a curious and energetic toddler who is constantly on the go. Thirsties Pocket All-In-Ones will keep your baby covered!
Thirsties Pocket All-In-Ones are shaped for a trimmer appearance and are the most comfortable and convenient for your mobile baby. The inner liner of Thirsties custom-made microfleece forms a stay-dry barrier between your baby and the diaper and offers wetness protection for baby's delicate skin.
The unique pocket opening on a Thirsties Pocket All-In-One cloth diaper allows the addition of extra absorbent layers during extended wear and to meet the needs of a heavy wetting baby. If you find you need to adjust the soaking capacity of the diaper, we recommend stuffing the pocket with a stable absorbency layer (not included), such as a doubler, pocket diaper insert, or prefold. For heavy wetters, nighttime or naptime we recommend adding an extra absorbency layer inside the pocket.
As all Thirsties products, Thirsties Pocket All-In-One diapers are made right here in the USA by a group of extremely talented women many of whom sew in the comfort and convenience of their own homes.

If you are having leaking problems or would like to prevent leaking problems please follow these instructions.
Thirsties offers a few of the most common reasons for leaks & their corresponding solutions:
1 - The fit may be too big. It is tempting to purchase diapers a bit larger than what you need in order to get longer use out of them. But Thirsties diapers are very generously cut and if you size-up, they will not fit properly and will end up leaking. Solution: Use smaller size
2 - Using the wrong detergent can lead to build-up and will make your diapers repel. Click Here for a list of safe detergents: http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-chart.html Use a mild detergent with no phosphates, and minimal additives. Add only 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent for top-loaders and 1/3 the recommended dose for high efficiency and front-loaders. Avoid all soaps and many "Free & Clear" and/or popular baby detergents. These detergents will leave a residue on your diapers that will affect the absorbency and may cause 'stinky' diapers and/or diaper rash. Below Thirsties has compiled a list of some commonly found detergents that are best for washing diapers and also the most delicate on baby skin:
~ Allen's Naturally ~ Arm & Hammer - Essentials Free ~ Charlie's Soap ~ Country Save ~ Ecos - Free & Clear Liquid ~ Maggie's Soap Nuts ~ Mountain Green - Free & Clear ~ Planet Ultra Powder
Solution: Strip your diapers by replacing your detergent with 1-2 Tbs regular Dawn dish soap and rinsing until water runs clear.
3 - Fabric softeners and diaper rash ointment can coat the fibers of your diapers and make them leak. Solution: Strip your diapers by replacing your detergent with 1-2 Tbs Dawn dish soap.
4 - The diapers may be worn for too long between changes. Solution: Cloth diaper changes need to be more frequent than disposables and on average will need repacement every 2 hours. If you need to go longer than that, you will need to add a good cotton or hemp doubler or insert.
5 - The diaper does not meet the absorbency needs of your baby. Solution: In this case, consider adding a cotton or hemp doubler or insert to every change. Cotton and Hemp are both stable absorbers that pair very nicely with the fast absorbing power of our microfiber terry soakers.
6 - The waterproof lamination on your diaper or cover needs to be resealed. Solution: An occasional full-cycle tumble in the dryer on high is actually beneficial to the waterproofing layer.
7 - And finally, if you have a baby boy, be sure to point his privates downward when changing his diaper. If he is aiming to the side or up, he will leak out of the diaper or cover. |
