The Duo Inserts from Thirsties provide double the duty as well!  Thirsties' specialty inserts feature two layers of serged microfiber terry snapped together with five serged layers of hemp jersey; seven thirsty layers in all!  Microfiber terry is a fast absorber designed to rest closest to your baby's skin (beneath the microfleece sleeve); hemp is a stable absorber and pairs perfectly behind the microfiber terry to add more absorbency and to prevent compression leaking.

Let's face it 'one-size' cloth diaper options tend to be too big on the average newborn and too small for most toddlers over two years of age. What this means is that the 'one-size' option truly only fits your baby properly when he/she weighs between 10 lbs to 32 lbs.  Alas, our findings confirm that the diaper label 'one-size' simply does not live up to its claim.  Most families purchasing a 'one size' diaper would actually end up purchasing a newborn size, a 'one-size', and a toddler size:  THREE sizes from birth to potty!  Not ONE.

Care & Content:

Prewash on cold.  Wash on hot.  Double rinse.  Line dry or dry in the dryer on low or medium.  A 15 minute cycle in the dryer on hot once a month is beneficial for the waterproof layer, as well as for strengthening the hold of Aplix fasteners.

Wash your Duo Diaper shells along with the terry portion of the insert once before use.  The hemp portion of the insert needs to be washed and dried at least three times before use to ride the fibers of the natural oils.  This is done separately from your other diapering products for the first three washes.  Inserts will be fully primed and at their maximum absorbency after 8 wash cycles.
