This is the first pail freshener I've used that doesn't just cover the poo smell with another heavy odor. It actually neutralizes the odor instead of adding to the stink. I pour a little in when the pail is freshly cleaned and then when it is half-way full and shake it up. Has really cut down on complaints from my husband:)
