Prorap Diaper Covers
The Prorap Classic Diaper Cover is made from a soft polyester knit with a leak-proof urethane barrier. This is one of the few cloth diaper covers you will find with gussets. Gussets are extra material around the leg openings designed to stop leaks. The Prorap Classic features waterproof institutional "laundry safe" hook and loop (Velcro) closures. The Velcro loop extends across the tummy to give you a great fit. The Prorap Classic has material above the loop section to prevent scratching. It features elastic across the back to provide a snug fit around the waist.
Another great feature of the Prorap Classic is that it has an umbilical scoop on the newborn size (as pictured to the left).
You can use this wrap together with a Kissaluvs Size 0 for the newborn period. Just carefully tuck the Kissaluvs cloth diaper under the Proraps wings at the hip. You will need at least 6 cloth diaper covers and up to 15 Size 0 Kissaluvs each day.
You can also use the newborn Prorap Classic cover with preemie prefolds. You will need more cloth diaper covers if you use prefolds folded in thirds because covers tend to get soiled more often during the newborn period. You will need at least 8 covers and up to 15 prefolds each day.

Please try out a cloth diaper cover before washing them to ensure proper
fit. With a diaper cover, size is very important. Be sure that the cover is
snug around the legs and waist. Check the cloth diaper to ensure that all cotton is
tucked inside the cloth diaper covers. This will keep the cloth diaper from wicking the wetness to
babies clothing and the cloth diaper cover.
Wash the cloth diaper covers in cold water. The cloth diaper covers from Proraps can be washed with
other clothing on the shortest washing duration possible. It is best to close
the Velcro and turn the covers inside out to ensure the best
cleaning possible.
Detergent to use-
It is best to use a non-scented type of detergent that is
not a "baby detergent"; these detergents have softeners in them that can over
time weaken the Velcro staying ability.
Drying the covers-
The best method is to open the Proraps covers and lay them flat on
the dryer while it is running. We recommend that our products not be exposed to
drying temperatures in excess of 180F (82.2C). If you do dry the cloth diaper covers in the
dryer, do not add any softeners or scented dryer sheets.
Staining on the inside of diaper covers is normal and should
not cause any alarm, especially when the baby is eating solid foods or if the
baby is taking any medication.
If you have stains that you would like to address, pre-soak
with a chemical or enzyme product (please see note below) for stains prior to
the wash process. Hanging the covers in the sun for a few hours may help to
reduce the appearance of some stains.
Remember that any chemical
that you add to the covers will affect the longevity of the diaper covers and
the effectiveness of the waterproof layer of the covers.
