The 2 in 1 Organic Cotton Ultra Mattress at Naturepedic makes a great mattress for a child. One side is waterproof for the younger years and the other side is quilted for a more mature feel. Naturepedic is a GOTS certified organic mattress manufacturer that meets GREENGUARD certification standards for eliminating chemical emissions.
Premium organic cotton material gives this mattress durability and a nice finish. The top of the mattress has a waterproof polyethylene surface making it easy to clean and stain-resistant. Food grade polyethylene is an environmentally friendly plastic that is used and known in the food packaging industry for its non-toxicity. Keep your mattress stain-free while providing a barrier against dust mites, bed bugs, and other allergens. The sides of the mattress also protect against bed bugs and dust mites. No wool or latex is used. The bottom side of the mattress features luxurious quilted organic cotton. Since the plush quilted surfaces are not waterproof you will need a waterproof mattress pad for protection against liquids or dust mites.
The fabric and filling of the 2 in 1 Organic Cotton Ultra Mattresses are made from undyed and unbleached organic cotton. The organic cotton in the mattresses is grown free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Renewable organic cotton is a great option for those wishing to make a natural choice.
The twin and full sizes have medium/firm support. A 6 gauge border wire offers strong edge and side support. The mattresses have a 14.5 gauge steel coil innerspring that has alternating coil directions. The standard twin size comes with 360 coils and the full size comes with 528 coils.
The twin and full size mattresses have non-toxic fire protection. Naturepedic uses a chemical-free barrier consisting of baking soda and hydrated silica that is bonded to cellulose. Hydrated silica is a primary ingredient in natural toothpaste.
Need a foundation to go with your mattress? The foundations are made from the same material as the mattresses except they contain FSC Certified Wood which is harvested in forests with a focus on protection of natural habitats.
Made in the USA, these twin and full size mattresses have quality construction. All mattresses come with a limited 20 year warranty from the manufacturer. These mattresses have no vinyl/PVC, phthalates, polyurethane foam which includes soybean foam, PFCs, and antibacterial or biocide treatments.
